This workshop is the fourth in a series focusing on Education. This time the theme is lifelong learning opportunities. We will invite the five authors of the book “Education for all – Sweden’s strategy to cultivate citizens” (Mitsui publishing, 2018). Sweden has implemented the idea of recurrent education and started practicing it before other countries. Questions like “what is recurrent education?” and “how does the education of individuals lead to societal development?” will be brought up. Ms. Yukiko Sawano, a professor at the University of the Sacred Heart, will shed light on this by bringing up the case of Campus Varberg, which promotes community development through educational opportunities.
