“MIRAI” is the academic consortium which was launched at the University Presidents ’ Summit in Tokyo October 2015. It consists of 7 Swedish Universities and 8 Japanese Universities. It has started its activities in earnest from 2017, holding the MIRAI seminar in October in Lund University. This year, the seminar will be held in Japan. The aims of the MIRAI project are to strengthen collaboration between Swedish and Japanese universities through activities in research, education and innovation, enhance researchers at an early stage of their career and connect, meet, learn, share research work, publish and interact with society. This will contribute to long -term collaborations and research excellence between Sweden and Japan.
