HBC Square, Odori 7-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo
The Sapporo Snow Festival is held annually for one week every February in Sapporo. It is one of Japan’s most popular winter events and attracts around 2 million visitors every year. It features hundreds of snow and ice sculptures, as well as various activities at its three main locations; Odori Park, Susukino, and Tsudome. In 2018, Hokkaido Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (HBC) will make a Swedish building out of ice to celebrate the 150 year long friendship between Sweden and Japan. The building will be displayed in HBC Square, Odori 7-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo.
