AND FIKA K.K. Arco Design K.K. Swedenstyle
Twenty Scandinavian designers challenged to create their unique design for Japanese tea ceremony utensils. The form of tea bowl, including its mold and hand-wheeling, was made in Kyoto, and young pottery drawing professionals in Hasami did hand-drawing based on Scandinavian patterns. Each pattern was also reproduced as watermark on washi paper, to be used as ‘kaishi’ at the tea ceremony. In addition to using them as tea ceremony utensils, we present our new ideas to enjoy them in FIKA style.
