Swedish Design Moves Tokyo (initiated by Visit Sweden), will be the main organizer of the events, in collaboration with Designart Festival –
Designart Festival has designated Sweden as a partner country in 2018, in joint collaboration with Visit Sweden, the Embassy of Sweden, the Swedish Institute and Svensk Form.


As one of the highlighted events during DESIGNART 2018, Sweden is showcasing the best and the latest of Swedish Design at Ung Svensk Form 2018 Exhibition at World Kita-Aoyama Building from October 19th.

On the occasion of the Sweden-Japan 150th Anniversary, Sweden has been chosen as the Partner Country of DESIGNART, one of the biggest art and design events in Tokyo. During the 10-day period there will be a number of showcases of creative Swedish Design.

The highlighted exhibition is Ung Svensk Form, (Young Swedish Design) which is an annual juried award and an exhibition which attract the most innovative young talents from across the country, and this year the prize-winning works of 29 designers will come together in Tokyo. Those designers include Per Nadén Anton Kolbe, (architecture) Matilda Norberg, (fashion) Anna Sjöberg and Malin Berglund. (design)

Other key Swedish Design events during DESIGNART include an architectural exhibition in Tokyo Midtown by the world famous designhouse Claesson Koivisto Rune (CKR), Sara Lundkvist exhibition at Volvo Studio Aoyama, USF design talks at COMMUNE 2nd (organized by SI & Malmö City), workshops and events in connection to Ung Svensk Form 2018 and USF 20 years in 2018 across various locations.
