A joint message from our Ambassadors
In the year 2018, Sweden and Japan will celebrate 150 years of diplomatic relations. This special Anniversary year will be celebrated through a range of activities in both Sweden and Japan. As Ambassadors, we are delighted to note such positive response and enthusiasm from different parts of the Swedish-Japanese community. We believe that 2018 will be an eventful and exciting year.
Over the past 150 years, Sweden and Japan have developed a close partnership in a wide range of areas: business, trade, science, innovation, academia, international and social affairs, culture, creative industries etc. The Anniversary year gives us an opportunity to draw attention to these many existing Swedish-Japanese collaborations and – most importantly - inspire new and strengthened partnerships for the future.
